The next generation RHIB, part of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s (NECC) fleet, is designed to patrol shallow littoral areas and less sheltered open waters, ensuring force protection for friendly and coalition forces and critical infrastructure. This 85-foot vessel offers optimal performance, fuel economy, and firepower, with systems aimed at reducing Total Ownership Cost (TOC), minimizing manpower, and enhancing reliability and maintainability.
Powered by twin diesel engines and water jets, it achieves speeds over 30 knots and a range exceeding 600 nautical miles. It features berthing accommodations, a galley, and head/shower facilities for extended missions and can be equipped with ballistic protection and various crew-served and remotely operated weapons.
